Dramatic Clouds

Deeply loved and dearly missed.

In memory of those who are

After losing our own dad, their work supporting grieving children and families feels deeply personal and something I can relate to.

Winston’S Wish

Jordan’s Story

Mark was in Mallorca in 2025, cheering James on every step of the way. He was immensely proud of him for taking on and completing such an extraordinary challenge, and we know he’ll be watching with that same pride as his son takes it on.

My name is Jordan, and I’m certainly not a runner. But in 2026, I’ve decided to give James a hand and take on the Mallorca 400 challenge alongside him. Sadly, our dad passed away unexpectedly in July, just two months after the Mallorca 400.

He was immensely proud of James for completing the Mallorca 400 solo in 2025, and this joint effort is in his memory.

I recently became a dad myself, which makes my chosen charity, Winston’s Wish, even more meaningful.

Hollie’s Story

Lucy and her mum had been due to travel to Mallorca in 2025 to support James during the Mallorca 400. But when Lucy’s sister, Hollie, suddenly became seriously unwell, they had to cancel their trip. Tragically, Hollie passed away on the penultimate day of the Mallorca 400, making this challenge forever tied to her memory.

My name is Lucy, and I am one of James’ best friends. Although I will not be running the full course, James kindly asked whether he and Jordan could also raise money for a charity in memory of my sister, Hollie. In May 2025, Hollie sadly passed away at the age of 34.

My sister suffered a cardiac arrest in April and spent the following four weeks in intensive care at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle. The care my sister and our family received during that time was nothing short of outstanding.

That is why we have chosen to support Newcastle Hospitals Charity, with all proceeds going to Ward 21, where my sister was cared for. I was incredibly touched when James asked whether I would be happy to choose another charity for the run.
